Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies

I called it ‘Simple’ because it really is a basic, easy AF recipe to do, but don’t let that fool you: the way to someone’s heart never had a better shortcut! This is the very first recipe I learned to do all on my own when I was 11, and I’ve been doing it the exact same way ever since because it has consistently been a big hit.

If you still have some left 5 minutes out of the oven, lay them on a cooling rack. If you don’t have one, those things cost about 4 to 5 dollars at the supermarket and are quite worth it if you bake often. I still have my mother’s ancient one which I was using when I started doing this recipe! Otherwise, just lay them on a plate, single layer.
